The Teqtivity Search Engine

There are multiple uses for the Teqtivity Search Engine (TSE). You may search for an asset, an employee, and a location, return an asset to inventory, change the status of assets, change an asset tag, assign assets to a person, and install assets to a location.

Note: TSE has autocomplete enabled so values will start being presented as you start typing. You may click on your desired entry if you see it populated while typing.

Searching for an Asset using the Teqtivity Search Engine

You may search for a specific asset within the Teqtivity Asset Management System. The asset's result will show either the user it's assigned to or the location that the asset is currently placed in. If there are multiple assets associated to the person or location, then the asset you have searched for will be highlighted.

  1. Enter or Scan the Asset Tag #
  2. Click Search
  3. The asset that you searched for will be highlighted will be displayed in its current location or under the person’s name whom its assigned to.
  4. From the search result, you may change the status of the asset or change the asset tag number.
Searching for a Person or Location using the Teqtivity Search Engine

When you search for a person or Location, the TSE will show you all the assets assigned to that person or Location. To search for a person or Location, follow the steps below:

  1. Enter a Person's name or Location name
  2. Click Search
    1. Note: Autocomplete is enabled so if you start entering first or last name or location name, you’ll start seeing matching name results. If you find two People or Location with the same name, their email address will be displayed to help determine which Person or Location is the one you are looking for.
  3. The search result will show you the person or Location you have chosen and all assets they have assigned or installed to them. From this page, you may change the status of the asset or change the asset tag if necessary.

Changing the Asset Tag #

This option is for assets that are already in Teqtivity and need a new asset tag number if the current one is damaged. To change the asset tag, follow the steps below:

  1. Enter or Scan the Asset Tag #
  2. Click Search
  3. The asset that you searched for will be highlighted will be displayed in its current location or under the person's name whom its assigned to.
  4. From the search result, you may change the asset tag number by clicking on the edit icon

Changing the Status of a Single Asset

The Search Query results will allow you to change the status of an asset. For every change you make; a popup will appear to update the assets movement from and to inventory.

Note: There are limitations between from and to status changes and the limitations are described below:

Brand New

The Brand New status is set to all asset by default when they are created in the system.Once changed, a status cannot to back to Brand New.

Assigned

The Assigned status allows you to assign an asset to a person. Examples: a first time provisioning, an upgrade, or as an additional device, etc. When the assigned status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Person’s Name and Ticket Number.

Installed

The Installed status allows you to systematically install an assets to a location. Examples: a conference room, lobby, copy/print rooms, etc. When the installed status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Location Name and Ticket number.

Loaned

The Loaned status allows you to loan an asset to a person or location for temporary use. When the loaned status is selected, you will be required to enter the Person's or Location’s name, Expected Return Date, and a Ticket Number. The Expected Return Date will act as a reminder of when to collect or extend. You can extend a Expected Return Date after querying it from the TSE screen.

RMA Returned

The RMA Returned status allows you to use it when a product is being returned back to the supplier for good due to an accidental order or fault in that system. When the RMA status is selected, you will be prompted to enter a Ticket Number and Comments.

Used A Stock

The Used A-Stock status allows you to use it when a product is returned back to inventory for redeployment and is in a Like-Brand-New condition. When the Used A-Stock status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location Name and Ticket Number.

Used Refurbished

The Used Refurbished status allows you to use it when a product is returned back to inventory for redeployment and is in a used - reusable condition. When the Used Refurbished status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location Name and Ticket Number.

Legal Hold

The Legal Hold status allows you to use it when you need to hold returned assets indefinitely due to legal requirement. When the Legal Hold status is selected, you will notice that the Assigned To Person’s name cannot be modified to continue to track the asset to that person and you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location Name, Ticket Number, and comments.

Retain Hold

The Retain Hold status allows you to use it after assets are returned and need to be retained for a desired amount of days. This assures you that the asset will not get redeployed until after the retention date has expired. When the Retention Hold status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location Name, Ticket Number, and Retention Date.

Damaged

The Damaged status allows you to use it after assets are returned and are not in working condition. This status can be used or assets that are permanently damaged or damaged and pending repair analysis. When the Damaged asset is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location Name and Ticket Number.

Repair

The Repair status allows you to use it for damaged assets that are being repaired. When the Repair status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location Name and Ticket Number.

Lost or Stolen

The Lost or Stolen status allows you to use it when an asset is lost by a person or in a location. When the Lost or Stolen status is selected, you will notice that the Assigned To Person’s name cannot be modified to continue to track the asset to that person and you will be prompted to enter the data wipe confirmation details, Ticket Number, and comments.

End of Life

The End of Life status allows you to use it when an asset is no longer deployable in the environment because of age or non-repairable. When the End of Life status is selected, you will be prompted to enter the Inventory Location, Ticket Number, and comments.

End of Life Disposed

The End of Life Disposed status allows you to use it when an End of Life asset has been certified wiped or destroyed and you are remove the device from your premises. When the End of Life Disposed status is selected, you will be prompted to upload a pdf copy of the data wipe certificate & enter the Inventory Location, Ticket Number, and comments.
